U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Veteran
Howard served the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne Division from 1993 to 1999. He is driven to ensure the safety of his fellow men and citizens. He has vowed to defend the constitutional rights of the people by actively advocating the right to speech, the right to bear arms, and the right to defend oneself.
Sergeant Tivon Howard, Homicide Detective, Major Crimes Investigator
For 20 years, Howard has served his community as a law enforcement officer and a homicide detective with Zebulon Police Department, where he now serves as the Detective Division Supervisor and Major Crimes Investigator. His vision is to transform the streets and communities of Wake County, where crime and violence have been rising, into a safe place again with a strong, constitutional approach to law enforcement and administration. He aims to enhance the training and effectiveness of the deputies in upholding the law and order in the county and bring innovative recruiting strategies to the Wake County Sheriff’s office.
Substitute Teacher, Wake County Public Schools and Community Leader
Howard is a dedicated family man who has volunteered as a mentor for the youth, is a member of the New Bethel Christian Church, and works as a part-time substitute teacher in Wake County Public School System since 2014.
